The system sees the computational mind clearly but the situated mind barely at all.

Most unexpectedly, working memory’s nearest cross-domain neighbors include food web and predator-prey dynamics — ecological systems that share its profile of signal-processing, state-transformation, temporal dynamics, and compositional structure. The taxonomy apparently recognizes a deep structural isomorphism between cognitive buffers and ecological networks: both are self-regulating systems that process flows under capacity constraints.

The domain holds reasonable internal coherence at the computational end but dissolves at the experiential end.

Interpretation
